# Cardinal

> Cardinal is operational software for commercial real estate owners and operators. It centralizes communication, documentation, and reporting so CRE teams run their portfolios from one shared workspace instead of personal inboxes, shared drives, and spreadsheets.

Cardinal complements accounting platforms (Yardi, AppFolio, MRI) rather than replacing them. It handles the operational layer: tenant communication, issue tracking, document organization, and portfolio visibility. Existing accounting software keeps its job; Cardinal connects the team, the properties, and the conversations.

Built by Hedinger Group, a family office managing commercial real estate since 1944. Cardinal has been developed and battle-tested on that portfolio since 2023.
